Drei junge Leute machen einen Ausflug nach Nordaustralien, wo es Krokodilfarmen zu besichtigen und Flusslandschaften zu erkunden gilt. Beim Angeltrip mit dem Motorboot in den Mangrovensumpf kommt es jedoch zur Katastrophe: Der einheimische Führer fällt der Attacke eines aggressiven Salzwasserkrokodils zum Opfer, die Urlauber flüchten sich auf einen Baum und harren hilflos in der Wasserwüste. Das Krokodil aber macht keine Anstalten zu verschwinden, sondern wartet geduldig auf seine Chance, die da kommen muss.
